Matthew Downey, PT and Anita Khokhar, PTA have been certified to use the LSVT BIG® program that has been documented to be effective for patients with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions. Treatment is administered by a physical or occupational therapist in 16 sessions over a single month, and was developed specifically to address the movement impairments for people with Parkinson’s Disease. Research suggests that you should NOT wait until you begin to experience disability, impaired function or loss of balance to start exercise-based physical and occupational therapy.
