Summit Healthcare is pleased to welcome Ellen Garden, RDN!
Ellen Garden is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who moved to Hutchinson from New England. She studied Nutrition and Dietetics at Mount Saint Mary College and Kansas State University. She is passionate about educating people regarding nutrition practices that result in lifestyle changes. Ellen is a member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and the Weight Management Practice Group. She holds certificates in Childhood and Pediatric as well as Adult Weight Management.
For the past 15 years, Ellen has taught the nutrition component for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. As a self-described “foodie”, she teaches diabetes management, and her services are of great benefit to those with food allergies and intolerances, GI complications, wound care and nutritional rehab after surgeries to aid with the healing process.
