The air capital city of Wichita was the next stop for Dr. Loewen as he enrolled in a Masters of Science program at Wichita State University. While at Wichita State, he completed his Masters degree with an emphasis in biology.

For the past 29 years, Dr. Bishop has been delivering world class care via the employment of several advanced spinal treatments, including minimally invasive surgical approaches such as Oblique Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion (OLLIF), which he pioneered as one of the original practitioners of this technique. Dr Bishop provides patients innovative solutions for pain relief and improved mobility through multiple modalities of care, including: Spinal fusion, Anterior cervical discectomy, Artificial disc replacement, Nerve decompression, Laminectomy, and Laminoplasty.

Benjamin Young, MD is a fellowship trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. He was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas and attended Kansas State University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He then attended Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska before returning to Kansas for residency at the University of Kansas in Wichita. He went on to complete fellowships at the University of Florida and Johns Hopkins including advanced training in hip and knee replacement. He utilizes minimally invasive surgical techniques as well as hip replacement through the direct anterior approach.​

Brian Fleeman, DNAP, APRN, NSPM-C, CRNA, leads The Summit’s dedicated interventional pain management program. With more than 20 years of anesthesia and pain management experience, Brian helps patients find relief from chronic and complex pain through individualized, nonsurgical treatment plans.
Brenna Winn

Pain Management & Palliative Medicine
Brenna is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and has extensive experience in complex pain management, specifically spine related and interventional pain. She takes time to create individualized treatment plans for each patient suffering from acute or chronic pain, with the main goal being to improve function and quality of life. Brenna works closely with the multidisciplinary services at The Summit including interventional pain, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and rehab.

With more than 20 years of clinical practice experience, Jill brings a broad background in spine care, orthopedic management, surgical assisting, oncology, urgent care, and rural health.
